Welcome to the blog/resource site of a 19-year-old Masscom student in Cebu, Philippines (temporarily) jobless, out-of-school youth in California, USA.
Here you shall find whatnots--from school rants randomosity and picspams to Photoshop tutorials and layout codes--of a dysfunctionally amusing computer geek.

randomosity
excess brain juice on 16 Nov 2008 by sami |
I was tagged by Lollii. Here are the rules:
1 - Each player starts with eight random fact/habits about themselves. 2 - People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. 3 - At the end of your blog post, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their name. 4 - Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and to read your blog. 01 :: I'm the messiest/organized freak you will ever meet. I love to organize things. I like putting them in order. But once I'm done with all that, I start creating a mess. I forget to put stuff back in their places, and I get too lazy to arrange them again. Eventually, when the mess becomes too overwhelming, I organize again. It's a cycle. 02 :: Slowpokes irritate me. I have gotten in trouble because of this in the past. One time, when I was walking in a crowded street in Cebu, this one girl in front of me walked so slow, and I was in a hurry. I had to elbow past her, and then mutter loudly about how "some people think they own the street". 03 :: Large horizontal stripes attract me. When I go to clothes stores, clothes with stripes on them seem to call out to me. I especially love black and white stripes. 04 :: I love naming *everything*--people, things, animals, places. I named my ex-boyfriend "Putik" (English: Mud) just for kicks, my cat "Optimus Prime" because I thought it was cool, my celphone "Gin" because it is a silver N73, my gay PC "Ola", and our house "Pink Palace, because it is drenched with pink all over. 05 :: I like to photograph or video myself when I do something new or monumental (or both). I like making memories. 06 :: I have way too many accounts in various online sites. I even forgot some sites. 07 :: I watch/rent movies because I like one of the guys in them. :P 08 :: I don't really care much for artists. I am more into the lyrics and the melody of the songs I listen to. The lyrics especially. I even discovered my favorite song, " The City Lights" by Umbrellas, after having read (NOT listened to) its chorus in one of the Dramione fics I read. I will get back with 8 people to tag once I finish this essay I've been writing. But if you want to do this meme, go ahead. EDIT: Alrighty, 8 people! FTP solution
excess brain juice on 05 Nov 2008 by sami |
Some webmasters encounter FTP problems once in a while. I know I do. There a few reasons: 1. Computer crashed --> lost FTP software. 2. Free FTP program trial expired. 3. Away on vacation and using a public computer. 4. Using a Guest or Limited account, which won't allow installations. Thankfully, there is a solution: a browser-based FTP client! *does a happy dance* Now you can edit your website through your browser. No registrations, downloads, no installations. All you need is your server address, your username, and your password. It's that easy. Go try it at FTPLive.com. •

Top 5 EC droppers for October 2008Wiehanne LoungeDB ComixCall Center GalColloquiumUsing My Right HandGreat job, guys. Thanks muchly! I slept a total of three hours last night. I was up late because I was waiting for Bernard to go online so I could whine about the surgery I went through. He never did. Then I had to wake up early because I had to take my painkillers. The right side of my jaw is a bit swollen. It's like left side is oval, right side is square. I look like a cartoon. A food-depraved cartoon. I ate a cheese string around midnight, and then soggy oatmeal an hour ago. I can't really open my mouth wide, because it feels like something might get dislodged around my molars. It's freaky. A few minutes ago, Nard finally goes online. But then he told me straight out that he's drunk, and that he's playing DOTA. Fck it. I should've just slept. I finally get to watch " The Covenant". It's on Watch-Movies.net, and the movie from Tudou is pretty pixelated, but I'll work with that. I want some Steven Strait lovin'. I also want to watch " Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist", but it isn't in Watch-Movis.net yet. And then there's the TV series " Gossip Girl", which I also want to check out, since everyone's talking about it. Have you seen it? Is it any good? Beyonce's If I Were A Boy is stuck in my head. Thank goodness it's a song I actually like. •

I had an impacted wisdom tooth and my "#C" tooth removed this afternoon. And until now, the right side of my jaw is still numb. I was sedated for like, half an hour, so that's good. But come on, I'm hungry, and I can't eat when I can't feel half my face. On the bright side, I installed Dreamweaver in the office PC now. Yey! I updated a few pages, especially the Link Exchange one. So go ahead, check 'em out. And yeah, I participated in the NaNoWriMo 2008. Word count starts in 20 minutes! :D •
no tech?

I can't install Dreamweaver or any FTP program in Mom's office computer. And I can't mess with my sister's laptop either. With that said, I can't really make any other updates on this site other than blog. :(
I'm still saving up money to buy myself my own computer.
So until then, really sorry. You can post your links on the tagboard, though. I'll add them to the links exchange page when I finally get all the software I need. •

Just another NardSam thing. :) Love is like that. Love is equal and enduring. It doesn’t begrudge, it is unconditional. It never belittles or disgraces. It is powerful and ever evolving. It is effulgence, beautiful and evolving. It was magic.

I will miss you terribly. If I could shrink you to thumb-sized people, I would. Then I'd stuff you in my pocket and take you with me to the States. Sadly, I can't. I'm all out of fairy magic. I'll just have to settle for our memories. JoSaNard is forever. •
